DeCola graduated from West Liberty State College and went on to proudly serve in the Navy during WWII. Afterwords he taught in the Worthington School System and served as principal at Linworth Elementary. He loved the outdoors and was fortunate to have traveled near and far for many hunting and fishing adventures. He was a generous man who without hesitation, was willing to help anyone in need. He is survived by three daughters, Diana Ciaffoncini, Christal McDowell and Suellen DeCola aswell as grandchildren and numerous nieces and newphews.
