WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Oct. 4, 2016 — Generations Restaurant is bringing its menu to the hilltop soon as it prepares to open its latest venture, the G-Top, at West Liberty University’s Gary E. West Event Center, just in time for Homecoming 2016.
Located at 260 Roadworthy Drive, just across W.Va. Route 88 from WLU’s main campus, G-Top will expand dining and entertainment options for the entire campus.
“Students and staff are looking forward to the chance to have a new gathering spot, serving great food and beverages along with entertainment and we are pleased to work with Mike Duplaga and Generations in this new endeavor,” said Dr. Stephen Greiner, WLU president. “We want to provide our students with the best campus experience possible.”
Generations is leasing the space from the university and will serve food Wednesday through Saturday.
An opening is scheduled for invited guests only Oct. 10 and 11. Then Wednesday, Oct. 12, the G-Top will be up and running for the general public, just in time for wings and pierogi night. Outside seating also will be available.
G-Top will serve a full menu, including steak, pasta, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, pizza and a full bar, according to Duplaga. Restaurant hours will be 4 – 10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday for dining. The bar will remain open till 2 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
In honor of Homecoming 2016, G-Top is planning a special party on Saturday, Oct. 15.
A shuttle will run to and from G-Top after the Homecoming game at West Family Stadium for the convenience of guests. Additionally, there will be a large tent set up in G-Top’s parking lot and live music by Easy Street from 4-7 p.m., Oct. 15.
