West Liberty offers a University Scholarship for first-time transfer students who have not previously been enrolled at WLU.

Minimum of 24 transferable semester hours
Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
Award: $2,000 per academic year for three years

We carefully review your previous coursework to show how your credits transfer and what you’ll need to complete your degree at West Liberty University.

Key Information

Unofficial transcript evaluations may be provided during a campus visit.
Official transcript evaluations are completed once you are admitted.
All college-level coursework is included in GPA calculations, even if some credits do not transfer.
A minimum 2.0 GPA in all college-level coursework is required for graduation (some programs may require a higher GPA).
GPAs from institutions with different grading systems are recalculated using West Liberty’s grading scale.
Up to 72 semester hours from a two-year institution may apply toward a four-year degree.
At least 56 semester hours must come from a four-year institution.
All degree candidates must complete 36 semester hours at West Liberty University, including 15 hours in the major.
