Biography
Leticia Rosado Russell is an artist, educator, researcher, and published author. In her practice as a nature community art therapist, Leticia enjoys sharing the joy of self-learning through creative play, engaging the artistic imagination, and storytelling.
As a wildfire evacuee and community nature art therapist she’s interested in how time in nature and art making with paper, images, and natural materials can promote dialogue, aid collective trauma processing, facilitate social connection, and support community well-being and adaptability.
As a researcher she is interested in arts-based inquiry and the potential of inviting images to accompany, provide insights and serve as co-researchers. (Developed Delving into the Image art therapy course to share the art-based inquiry process with art therapy graduate students and anyone interested in learning about art as companion, art as way of knowing, art-informed research, or art as inspiration for creative writing.)
