Graduate Living
Made Simple
Explore dedicated housing options, application details, and amenities designed to support your academic and professional journey at West Liberty University.
Hughes Hall is the primary residence for graduate students. Graduate Assistants receiving room waivers are assigned private rooms on the graduate floor. Graduate students not receiving an assistantship may select a single room in Hughes Hall or request an apartment. Requests for other residential facilities are also considered. For photos and details of all residence options, visit our Housing Facilities page.
Additionally, we offer three student houses. Each house features furnished single rooms with a twin bed, desk, and chair. Availability is limited, and requests can be submitted through the regular graduate housing application.
Even if your graduate school plans are not yet finalized, we encourage you to submit your Graduate Housing Application through the Housing Portal via single sign-on. Applications can be found under the “Applications and Forms” tab.
Assignments are made based on the date the application and deposit are received. We recommend applying and submitting your deposit early. Housing assignments are completed:
- Spring semester: Mid-December to early January
- Fall semester: Early June
Room information will initially be communicated via email, with updates available in the Housing Portal.
We recommend submitting your deposit even if your housing plan is not final. Deposits are refundable if housing is cancelled before December 15th for spring or July 15th for fall. To cancel, complete the Housing Cancellation Form. Refunds typically process within 1–2 weeks.
