Brittni Lindgren is a 2012 graduate earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a Broadcasting emphasis. During her three years at West Liberty University Brittni enjoyed time both in front of the camera and behind the camera for WLU-TV. Brittni co-created and produced the stations first student run sports show, Jock Talk. She was also the sideline reporter for Hilltopper Football and basketball. While reporting for West Liberty’s Sport Network, Brittni was given the opportunity to anchor in a sports package featuring the Hilltoppers for CBS Sport network.
Brittni also interned and worked part-time at a local production company, Walkabout Company, as an assistant editor and producer. Brittni worked continued to work for Walkabout the summer after graduation until she left for graduate school in Pittsburgh.
After graduation, Brittni was accepted into Chatham University’s MFA program in Film and technology. During her time at Chatham, she is focusing on her love of documentary filmmaking and her American Indian heritage. Her thesis focuses on how American Indians form their identity with the burdens of the stereotypes created in both film and advertising. She plans on graduating in December of 2013.
After receiving her MFA, Brittni plans on beginning her teaching career at a university while continuing to create films.
