Jared Thompson

Jared Thompson is a 2009 graduate of West Liberty University.  While at WLU as a student, Jared majored in Digital Media Design and was one of the first student crew members of WLU-TV.  During this time, Jared took on various responsibilities from directing the various studio shows to camera work and engineering for remote events. After graduation, Jared was hired at West Liberty University as a Video Production Specialist and producer, and currently adjunct teaches a video techniques class at West Liberty, a video editing in Adobe Premiere course, and COM 101.  He is also currently a graduate student at West Liberty University in the Masters of  Education Technology program.

Jared grew up in the country outside Woodsfield, Ohio, and now currently resides in downtown Wheeling. He enjoys biking, cooking, photography, and of course, anything video related. Jared has been the web producer for the West Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts for the past 5 years, and owns and operates a video production company, Thompson Video Productions. His passion for video production began in high school when he taught himself how to use Adobe Premiere editing software.
