Chuck Scatterday

Chuck Scatterday has spent the last 22 years in sports television
production, 17 of those on the network level with ESPN. Most recently,
he was the Coordinating Producer of college football and Olympic
sports for ESPNU in Charlotte, NC.

He was responsible for the creation, production and daily management
of over 450 annual sporting events including college football, soccer,
volleyball, swimming & diving, baseball, track & field, gymnastics and
ice hockey.

Prior to working as a Coordinating Producer with ESPNU, he worked for
10 years as a Broadcast Manager in a 25-member production unit that
was developed to support remote production programming outside of
SportsCenter and other network flagship programming. He coordinated
pre-game, halftime, intermission and post-game shows for ESPN, ESPN2
and ABC Sports.

In the spring of 2010, he was offered the opportunity to return to his
hometown of Wheeling, WV and manage the sports productions for WLTV,
as well as develop curriculum for a new sports journalism program. He
produces all of the football and basketball games and provides
instruction to students at West Liberty University.

Growing up in the Ohio Valley has all given him the opportunity to be
an avid fan of all things Pittsburgh. He follows the Steelers, Pirates
and especially the Penguins. He is married to Tara (Thomas) Scatterday
of Sistersville, WV and they have three children, Allysan, Seth and
Drew.
