WGLZ announcers call WLU basketball

WGLZ announcers Cody Shook (left) and Josh Spratt (right) were active Saturday, January 19th in the ASRC at West Liberty University to bring “live” action on 91.5.

It was a cold night with rain and snow on the Hilltop but Shook and Spratt covered the hot action on the court.

Remember if you can’t make it to the game tune-in to WGLZ on 91.5 FM or online at WGLZradio.com!

College Radio Day marathon raises money for local charity

For the second consecutive year, Walker Polivka raises money for local charity during WGLZ’s annual College Radio Day celebration.

“He’s only a second year announcer but he understands the power of the radio medium” says faculty advisor, Jeff Pfister.  In 2016 Walker accepted the advisor’s suggestion to not only host a 24-hour marathon but to secure sponsors for the special program.

This year two local organizations, the Bellaire Eagles and the American Legion Post 52 will each split just over $2100.00 from Walker’s College Radio Day program sponsors.

Walker’s program raised $1650.00 for charity in 2016.
