Mission Statement
To provide students with an environment that enables them to acquire the knowledge, skills, competencies, ethics, and values necessary to make a positive contribution to society and the business profession and to grow both professionally and personally.
Dean Wenzel Initiatives
- Achieved candidacy for Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)
- Expanded the advisory board of community business leaders and held annual meetings in 2009 and 2010
- Hired a Recruiter and full-time Advisor/Placement Coordinator to expand enrollment, centralize advising, and assist students with internship and job placement
- Filed an Intent to Plan with the HEPC for our International MBA
- Implemented a faculty development strategy to improve and maintain “intellectual capital”
- Recruited several new academically qualified faculty
- Significantly revised the core curriculum based on assessment feedback
- Developed an Entrepreneurship Program in response to the President’s initiative
- Developed a Family Business Program to serve the Ohio Valley
- Created and met a West COB Student Advisory Board
