      It’s time for gift giving and sharing the spirit of the season with the ones you love. Many alumni and community members have given gifts to West Liberty University because of their love for the University and I have the pleasure of helping them share these meaningful gifts. During 2013, donors gave gifts to support projects to advance the University or impact the students we serve. Alumni chapters joined together to do something meaningful as a group.     Bessie Anderson Education Honors Scholarship The Bessie Anderson Education Honors Scholarship was established by the Miller Family Fund through the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, Inc. in 2000, in memory of Bessie Margaret Anderson who was born in Steubenville, Ohio in 1912.  Bessie graduated from West Liberty State College, which was a Normal school at that time, in 1932.  She taught in Brooke and Hancock counties. Recipients must have a minimum high school GPA 3.5, entering as a full-time freshman with declared major in education, must be a West
