Dear Friends of West Liberty University:
On behalf of the West Liberty University Foundation Board of Directors, it is my distinct honor to thank you for your generous and ongoing support of West Liberty University in the Fiscal Year July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
West Liberty University is in its $22 million Capital Campaign for a Great University and your past, present, and future donations to this campaign are greatly appreciated. Thanks to your generosity, Campbell Hall is scheduled to open in 2014.
More than ever in an extremely competitive world, higher education is paramount for the success of our youth in the region and for generations to come. Often, the only available avenue for higher education is scholarships.
Over the next 20 years, $10 trillion of assets will be in transition between generations. Over the next 20 years our region is expecting a burgeoning energy economy and new businesses created to serve that economy.
Your generosity in contributions today and endowments for the future play a critical role providing education and a positive impact on thousands of lives.

Dear Friends and Alumni of West Liberty University:
Higher Education is at a crossroads. The cost of Higher Education is skyrocketing, students are graduating with record loan debt and state institutions are cutting back on funding. At West Liberty University, we are not immune to these changes. For the budget year 2014-15, the state of West Virginia estimates that it will fund less than 19% of our total operating budget.
However, because of strong commitment from our alumni and friends, we have managed to keep our quality education alive and well. This is the “Power of Giving” and I say THANK YOU.
Private dollars sustain our mission and grow enrollment by supporting the creation of new programs and facility upgrades to attract quality students. Private dollars enhance the educational experience for our students by helping us attract good faculty in a competitive job market. Private dollars enable students from all economic backgrounds to find opportunity on the Hilltop through scholarship funding.
Thanks to your help, many advances were made during fiscal year 2012-13. Here are some highlights:
• Seven straight years of enrollment growth
• New majors, programs including Graphic Narrative, Creative Arts Therapy, Athletic Training
• Third consecutive trip to the Division II “Elite Eight” by our Men’s Hilltopper Basketball Team
• Bloomberg Businessweek ranks WLU with the highest ROI among regional colleges, universities
With sincere appreciation,
Robin C. Capehart
