Lady Toppers prepare to hit the hardwood for new season

The Lady Hilltoppers will see a notable change to its bench this upcoming season as Hall of Fame coach, Lynn Ullom, decided to step down as head coach after 26 seasons. However, with four returning starters and a stellar recruiting class, newly hired head coach, Kyle Cooper, is ready to preserve the program’s success.

Men’s basketball anticipates successful 2017-18 season

The West Liberty University men’s basketball team is just a few days away from starting their season, and this year’s team will be drastically different from previous years. 
 
Starting from the top, legendary head coach Jim Crutchfield resigning and now coaching at Nova Southeastern, means that there is a new head coach and West Liberty didn’t waste any time hiring former player and assistant coach, Ben Howlett to lead the team

Sports are a large part of the community up here on the hilltop, one of these being football. Attracting crowds of locals, students and staff, it brings everyone together for a social event and entertaining competition. The West Liberty football team is looking forward to a successful season, hoping to improve from last year’s record of four wins and seven losses.

The West Liberty Hilltoppers Football Team just released their schedule for the upcoming fall season. Fans familiar with the schedule from last season may note some important changes; a matchup with a long-time rival is moved closer to the end of the schedule and the Toppers will play host to a new out-of-conference opponent.

West Liberty softball season starts on Spring Break trip

After finishing last season on a sour note, the West Liberty University softball team is eager and excited to start the season. In 2016, the Toppers sported a record of 13-41 (6-26 MEC). 
 
The Toppers would have liked the season to end in a different fashion, but they hope to carry over the frustration from last year to begin this season on a good note. 

West Liberty baseball prepares for 2017 season

Last season, the baseball team finished with a 29-25 record and a third place finish in the Mountain East Conference. Only losing six seniors, the 2017 squad has their sights set high this season with team goals of a conference championship and a regional tournament bid.
