WLU softball team is hopeful for turnaround season

The West Liberty University softball team will be in action for the first time of the 2018 season this weekend when they travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Johnson C. Smith University and Queens University of Charlotte. They will play each team once on Friday and then again on Saturday. 

Lady Toppers travel to Wesleyan and Glenville

The West Liberty softball team is gearing up for two doubleheaders against West Virginia Wesleyan University and Glenville State College this Friday and Saturday, respectively. Friday’s doubleheader against Wesleyan starts at 12 p.m., and Saturday’s doubleheader against Glenville also starts at 12 p.m.

Lady Toppers set to host Concord and UVA-Wise

After a six-game stint on the road, the WLU Lady Toppers will be back on the hilltop to host two double-headers this weekend at the Hilltoppers Softball Complex.
 
Beginning on Saturday, April 8, the Toppers (11-15, 5-9 MEC) will welcome two Mountain East Conference matchups against the Concord University Mountain Lions (18-20, 7-7 MEC) and the University of Virginia College at Wise Cavaliers (17-13, 8-6 MEC).

Lady Hilltoppers hit the road for two doubleheaders

After a split decision in their first two games at home, the softball Lady Hilltoppers will hit the road again for two doubleheaders in Charleston and Institute, W.Va. 
 
Beginning on Saturday, March 25, the WLU Toppers (5-5, 1-1 MEC) are traveling to southern West Virginia to face two Mountain East Conference matchups against the University of Charleston Golden Eagles (10-7, 2-0 MEC) and the West Virginia State University Yellow Jackets (14-10, 0-2 MEC). 

Senior outfielder looking towards the future

Senior outfielder Kylee Ensign has a lot of history when it comes to softball. She’s been playing ball all her life; starting with t-ball when she was six-years-old and swinging a bat since she was one. Now, she’s wearing the number 15 and entering her final season here on the hilltop.
