WLU releases plans for 2017 fall commencement

West Liberty’s Fall 2017 Commencement Ceremony will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9 in the ASRC. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and tickets are not required to enter. A reception will follow commencement in the College Union immediately after.

It is safe to say I have been waiting for the third installment of Thor since 2013, after I saw “Thor: The Dark World” in theaters. Finally, the time has come and “Thor: Ragnarok,” was released nationwide on Nov. 3, did not disappoint.

WLU opens lactation room on College Union’s top floor

Upstairs in the College Union, a space is now available for students, faculty and staff who are nursing with the new lactation room in room S3. Plans for this space have been in the making for a while, but it’s now finally ready to be utilized.

The new semester has brought with it leadership changes to West Liberty University’s Student Government Association (SGA). Reid Boden, who was elected for a second term as SGA president in the spring, resigned on Aug. 23. His sudden resignation surprised many students.

WLU enrollment increases for fall semester

Enrollment at West Liberty University is up as we head into fall semester. According to Vice President of Student Services/Registrar Scott Cook, as of Aug. 22, the overall enrollment was up by seven percent. However, that’s not all.
