Lady Toppers prepare to hit the hardwood for new season

The Lady Hilltoppers will see a notable change to its bench this upcoming season as Hall of Fame coach, Lynn Ullom, decided to step down as head coach after 26 seasons. However, with four returning starters and a stellar recruiting class, newly hired head coach, Kyle Cooper, is ready to preserve the program’s success.

West Liberty rolls Concord on senior day

It was a cold and rainy one on the Hilltop for senior day, as West Liberty University took on the Concord Mountain Lions in a Mountain East Conference match-up. The Hilltoppers came away with a huge 44-14 victory to improve to 3-6 on the season.

Great play for men’s golf at MEC Tournament

West Liberty University men’s golf team finished runners-up in the Mountain East Conference Championship Tournament last week. Senior Mike Rogers finished first in the individual races, winning his second medal title of his college career. 

‘As it is in Heaven’ offers a unique experience

On Oct. 5, the first showing of “As It Is in Heaven” premiered in Kelly Theater. The whole run of the show is being dedicated to Julie Alderfer, who was a part of the original play and recently lost her battle to cancer.

Serenades kicks off Homecoming week in College Hall

Serenades, a popular Homecoming event, kicked off the week tonight at 9 p.m. in College Hall. The MC of the night was Adam Croasmun as Serenity Sparkle, who opened the event with a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting in Las Vegas. Serenity also introduced  the judges for the evening. The judges were President Dr. Stephen Greiner, Jared Thompson, Kate Billings and Marcella Snyder.

Senior DB Baldwin hopes to create memories in 2017

Fall Festival kicks off this weekend in West Liberty

The annual Fall Festival will take place on Sept. 30 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall, located on Van Meter Way. Fall Festival is an annual event in West Liberty for a day of fun for all ages.

West Liberty women’s tennis season off to a hot start

West Liberty University’s women’s tennis have kicked off their season strong. The team had previously won 8-1 and 9-0 against Grove City College and Shepherds University respectively, and swept their third consecutive match after defeating Notre Dame College this past Saturday at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.

Toppers seek win against streaking Falcons

After a tough loss against the University of Virginia Wise last weekend, the West Liberty Hilltoppers are hoping to find a solid rhythm as they head into the middle of their season. After starting the season 2-2, the Toppers have struggled to maintain momentum toward a win streak. They hope to begin that streak tonight on the hilltop.
