West Liberty University became a part of the global initiative Exercise is Medicine this January. According to 
exerciseismedicine.org, “Exercise is Medicine® on Campus (EIM-OC) is a program calling upon universities and colleges to engage in the promotion of physical activity as a vital sign of health.”

Personal training program succeeds on the hilltop

West Liberty University’s personal training program is back in action after a successful first year. The program was introduced last fall semester and it instantly became popular among students. Personal training offers students a chance to have someone to workout with who can guide them through the correct exercise process.

WLU keeps students fit with wellness opportunities

West Liberty’s campus offers many ways for students to stay fit and healthy. There are numerous sport clubs that students can join, physical education classes and even official sports teams that they can tryout for. During the past year, these opportunities have been increasing with the appearance of new programs, such as the personal trainers and the new official sport teams that will start next year.

Students ask for a more spacious wellness center

At West Liberty University, one of the biggest selling points to prospective students is how great our facilities are. While I do agree that the university is very up to date and provides many opportunities to students, one facility that is lacking is our wellness center. More specifically, the wellness center is not large enough.
