Over the past few years, I’ve been serious about getting healthy and losing weight. I’m proud to say that I’ve lost 80 pounds and counting on this lengthy journey. My largest weight that I can remember was 272 pounds; I’m just at the 190-pound mark, give or take a few, and I haven’t seen my weight that low since middle school.

Most take for granted that blood-pumping organ that beats 100,000 times a day in your chest. Evan Greco knows all too well the true value of the heart. He’s living with a rare heart defect, but just as he did in his high school marching band’s drumline, Evan doesn’t miss a beat.

Camden steps down, continues ‘being an advocate’

After eight years of service in West Liberty University’s College of Education (COE), Dr. Keely Camden will be resigning as the dean to continue her ever-aspiring journey as an advocate for education. She recently accepted a faculty chair position at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, where she will spend more time in the classroom doing what she loves.
