Notre Dame (Ohio) will travel to the hilltop this Saturday to matchup against our Lady Toppers. For West Liberty, this hasn’t been the start that newly hired head coach, Kyle Cooper, was hoping for. WLU will look to get back on track and win against one of the top teams in the Mountain East Conference (MEC).

The West Liberty women’s volleyball team will be closing at-home play in the 2017 regular season this weekend, with games against Fairmont State and Shepherd. Both of those teams sit towards the top of the Mountain East Conference (MEC).

Personal training program succeeds on the hilltop

West Liberty University’s personal training program is back in action after a successful first year. The program was introduced last fall semester and it instantly became popular among students. Personal training offers students a chance to have someone to workout with who can guide them through the correct exercise process.

Seven seniors say goodbye to tennis on the Hilltop

This May, Hilltop Tennis will say goodbye to some of its brightest players as they graduate from WLU. This year, coach Heather Gallagher’s Lady Toppers ranked ninth in the NCAA II Atlantic Region rankings. Graduating Lady Toppers are Raquel Cabero and Andrea Puga.

The men’s team will see even bigger changes next season as five Toppers will be graduating this semester: Pablo Cimorra, Santiago Gutierrez, Baptiste Perrin, Andrew Ponder and Matt Tully. The men’s team received second place in the first NCAA II Atlantic Region rankings.

WLU keeps students fit with wellness opportunities

West Liberty’s campus offers many ways for students to stay fit and healthy. There are numerous sport clubs that students can join, physical education classes and even official sports teams that they can tryout for. During the past year, these opportunities have been increasing with the appearance of new programs, such as the personal trainers and the new official sport teams that will start next year.
