Adam Basanta Brings Sound and Sculpture to Nutting Gallery

Wednesday, March 30th saw the opening of one of the most intriguing exhibits to be presented in West Liberty’s Nutting Gallery. The gallery is typically host to incredible works of visual art, including professional shows, faculty shows, and my personal favorite, student works. This one added the extra dimension of sound to the proceedings, making for works that were both sculptural and musical.

Women’s Advanced Ensemble shines in ‘Cantamus’ debut

Friday, April 1st saw the debut performance of the WLU’s new Women’s Advanced Ensemble.  Held in the Interfaith Chapel, Cantamus: A Celebration of Women in Music saw an amazing turnout for this April Fool’s Day show with nearly every pew filled with students and music fans from throughout the community.

SGA elections are open today

On Thursday, April 6th, elections will be held for the Student Government Association (SGA) president and vice president. Running for SGA president are Lynnsie Parsons and David Reid Boden, while vice president nominees are Jessica Ballard and David Cullinan.  

Boden and Cullinan hope to encourage students to stand up and speak out about what they want and need at the university.
