Students impress in first round of West Lib Idol

West Lib Idol kicked-off at 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 2, in a packed Student Union Ballroom at West Liberty University.

15 students participated in the first round of the competition hosted by emcees Kevin Powell and Noah Woods. The panel of judges included Coordinator for Staff Development and Housing Operations Chris McPherson, Associate Professor of Education Dr. Traci Tuttle, Executive Director of Housing & Student Life Marcella Snyder, and Vice President of Student Services/Registrar Scott Cook.

Business office asks for patience concerning ‘Kronos’

For students of West Liberty University, a recent change has occurred this academic year concerning those who participate in campus based work studies. Last semester the state of West Virginia integrated a new state wide time and leave system called Kronos. It is an online pay and leave system for students to punch in there hours and receive pay for.

West Liberty Idol is in full swing on the hilltop

As of this week, West Liberty Idol is in full swing on the hilltop. This event has given students and staff an opportunity to do something fun and different during the month of February. For those of you unaware of West Liberty Idol, it’s very much like the famous television show, American Idol.
