Psychology major studies abroad in Iceland

A group of nine West Liberty students spent seven days this past summer in Iceland with WLU Instructor of Geography Dr. Aron Massey and his wife, Cassandra Massey. The trip took place from July 17 to July 26.

One of the nine, WLU junior psychology major Laken Lambert, came across the opportunity for the trip while taking one of Dr. Masseyʼs geography classes. “It was a spontaneous decision that I was debating up until I made the final payment,” Laken admitted, “but it was definitely worthwhile!”

Baked Stuffed Apples

This warm cinnamon apple treat is as simple as it sounds. Mix butter, oats, flour, cinnamon, ginger, and salt together and place inside of a hollowed-out apple. Add a few tablespoons of honey in the apple for some extra flavor. Bake this tasty snack for 40 minutes on 350 degrees. This is a great option for a healthy (but delicious!) snack or dessert!

Adamowski thriving on the hilltop

Coming out of high school as a senior, Sarah Adamowski had never heard of West Liberty University, let alone considered WLU as a choice to go to college.

Three years later and she is thriving on the hilltop, both in the classroom and on the golf course. The junior golf standout, Adamowski, came to West Liberty in order to further her pursuit of a career in broadcasting after her first two years of higher education at the University of Charleston.

West Liberty Vs Duquesne Game Recap

Division one Duquesne got the best of the Hilltoppers as they defeated West Liberty  in the rain 39-13.

In the first quarter, The Dukes would strike first as quarterback Dillon Buechel connected with Dave Thomas for a 25 yard touchdown pass. The Dukes would fake the extra point and get the two point conversion to make the score 8-0 to start.
