Brian L. Crawford, Ph.D. is Provost of West Liberty University and a Professor of Geography.  Before becoming Provost in February 2013, Dr. Crawford was Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at West Liberty and had previously served as Chair of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences.  He holds a PhD in Geography from Indiana State University, an MS in Earth Science from California University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He served as a navigation specialist in the U.S. Navy and as a missile officer in the U.S. Air Force before retiring from active duty in 1996.

Dr. Melinda S. Kreisberg is originally from Ohio where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Mount Union College. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Kreisberg holds the rank of Professor in the Biology program at West Liberty University. She has been a faculty member at WLU since 2002. During that time she coordinated the Microbiology Track within the Biology program and coordinated all departmental and biology assessment until her administrative appointment.

Assistant to the Provost
Crystal Lorimor, M.P.A., began her higher education administrative career in the late 1990s in Ohio where she designed, implemented and maintained bachelor’s completion programs for adults and transfer students.  She then directed the marketing and public relations efforts for a regional campus of a state university.  She has been with West Liberty University since 2010.  She earned her Master’s in Public Administration and her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Ohio University.

Beverly Burke, B.A., began working in higher education 47 years ago in California at California State College at Los Angeles. She then moved back to Ohio and worked at Franciscan University (then The College of Steubenville).  She began working at West Liberty in 1971 where she earned her BA Degree.  She has worked at West Liberty University for 28 years and has served in various positions including 20 years in the Office of the Provost.  She is a member of the Internationalization Committee, a member of the Staff Council, a member of the Staff Development Committee, and a member of the West Liberty University Board of Governors.  She serves as the Coordinator/Campus Liaison for the Washington, D.C. Internship Program and as the Liaison for CAPA, a national study abroad organization.
