The Office of the Provost is located in historic Shaw Hall.

The Office of the Provost  is responsible for all academic activities at West Liberty University, including course scheduling, program review, accreditations, assessment of programs and the university catalog.  This office works closely with and in support of Deans, Chairs and Program Directors in the areas of academic program development, faculty personnel actions and academic budgeting.  It participates in strategic planning and the establishment of long-range goals regarding academic programs and personnel.

The Provost, Dr. Brian Crawford, is the chief academic officer of the university and a member of the President’s Council and Cabinet.  He serves as a primary assistant to the President, as the executive member of academic administration, and as the university’s internal and external academic leader.
