West Liberty Student Education Association

The West Liberty Student Education Association is a local affiliate of the West Virginia Student Education Association which is the student branch of the West Virginia Education Association. The West Virginia Education Association is a state affiliate of the National Education Association. The West Liberty chapter is the oldest in the state and frequently receives state recognition for being the largest local chapter in West Virginia. WLSEA has also received recognition for its service projects. A number of West Liberty students have held state office including three who have served as the state president.

West Liberty Student Council for Exceptional Children

The West Liberty Student Council for Exceptional Children is a student affiliate of the West Virginia Council for Exceptional Children and the national Council For Exceptional Children. WLCEC’s past projects have included working with Special Education Field Days and with the Special Olympics. West Liberty Students have frequently attended the state and national conferences.

West Liberty Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary

The Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary recognizes students who achieve high GPAs in pursuit of their professional education degrees. Membership is by invitation only.

West Liberty Reading Council

Membership in the WLU Reading Council is open to any students who are interested in promoting reading and literacy. Proceeds from an annual book fair help to defray expenses for members who choose to attend the state or international meetings.
