General Studies Requirements

The B.S. Degree requires 48 hours of General Studies courses.  The options listed below each category are specific requirements for Exercise Physiology students.

COMMUNICATIONS – 9 HOURS
ENG 101; ENG 102; COM 101

MATHEMATICS – 3 HOURS
MATH 145 (Clinical Concentration)  OR MATH 160 (Health & Fitness Concentration)

NATURAL SCIENCES – 8 HOURS
BIO 124/125 (for Clinical Concentration)  OR BIO 124/125 or BIO 105/106 (for Health & Fitness Concentration); CHEM 110/111 (for Clinical Concentration)  OR CHEM 110/11 or CHEM 100/101 (for Health & Fitness Concentration)

SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES – 12 HOURS
HIS 103, 104, 210, or 211 (3 HRS), PSYCH 101 (3 HRS), CHOOSE 2 OF THE FOLLOWING 3:
GEO 205 or 206, SOC 150, SS100 (6 HRS)

WELLNESS/PHYSICAL EDUCATION – 4 HOURS
PE 101 BEGINNING SWIM  OR PE 225 LIFEGUARDING (1HR)
HE 300 NUTRITION & FITNESS (3 HRS)

BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS – 3 HOURS

FINE ARTS & HUMANITIES – 9 HOURS
