Wind Ensemble Auditions

All members of the WLU Wind Ensemble must audition for acceptance and placement. Participation in the audition process will count as part of the final grade for music majors. Auditions will take place during the first week of classes.  For this Fall Semester 2013, you can schedule your audition by visiting the board outside the main music office.  Note whether you are auditioning for Wind or Jazz Ensemble or BOTH. This audition also serves as your audition for the Wheeling Symphony Youth Orchestra.

The first rehearsal will be Monday, August 26, at 11am on stage in College Hall.  Regular rehearsals are Mondays 11-12:50 and Wednesdays 11:00-11:50.

There will be (August, 2013) PDF files for you to download and print. Except for Percussion, all excerpts are from “_______” by ____________.  There are a number of very fine recordings of this work if you would like a reference.  PLEASE PLEASE contact me if you have questions!  I am here to help.
