Things To Review Prior to Open Enrollment
- What if I am locked out of PEIA online.
- Wait 15 minutes and try again
- Use your 3 security questions
- Do not cut and paste the temporary password
- Contact customer service 877-676-5573
- What benefits do I have?
- If you are not sure what benefits you are currently enrolled in, you may log in to your WV PEIA and Mountaineer Flexible Benefits accounts to view your insurance plan details, such as which plans you are enrolled in, what dependents are covered, and who you have listed as beneficiaries.
- Log in to Manage My Benefits on the WV Public Employees’ Insurance Agency ’s website to view your current PEIA elections (including your current health and life insurance plans and covered dependents).

- Manage My Benefits sill soon be available on iPhone, Android, Chrome and Safari
- Log in to myFBMC.com to view your current Mountaineer Flexible Benefits elections (including Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, etc.).

What Changes Can I Make During Open Enrollment
During Open Enrollment an employee may add, drop or change coverage with the following vendors.

Important Updates
- The HealthPlan
- Changes
- Premiums are increasing a projected 15-24% for plan year 2024
- Plans will also see a projected spousal surcharge of $139 to $150 per month
- Surcharge applies to a spouse who stays on PEIA.
- Applies only if spouse is offered coverage through their employer
- Surcharge applies to a spouse who stays on PEIA.
- Letters will be sent out by PEIA asking members to confirm if the spouse is offered additional coverage.
- If you do not respond to the letter PEIA will charge you the surcharge.

- Approved plan changes could also impact deductibles
- PEIA Plan C deductible will increase to $1500 for employee and $3000 for employee with children & family plans.

- Important mailings will be sent from PEIA and it’s vendors. Please make sure you review each mailing you receive.
- Spousal Surcharge
- Projected monthly charge will be $139 to $150 per month
- This surcharge does not apply to:
- Spouses of retirees or non-state employees
- Spouses for whom their employer participates in PEIA
- PEIA policyholders in the Employee with Employee Spouse coverage tier.
- SaveOnSP (Speciality Medication Program)
- SaveOnSP is a mandatory program that begins on July 1, 2023. The member must enroll in it if they use a medication listed on the SaveOnSP list. This list can be found here
- SaveOnSP is a $0 copay for medications within the SaveOnSP program
- There are a few local pharmacies that can fill the special medications. Accredo is the ESI Specialty Pharmacy and fills the majority of the specialty medications. They will contact the member to enroll in SaveOnSP.

- Life insurance vendor will remain Metlife
- Mountaineer Flex (FBMC)
- Dental plan vendor is changing from Delta to SunLife
- Premiums are reducing under Sunlife
- The Routine Plan is being retired
- All members currently in the Routine Plan will be moved to the Assistance Plan
- Members enrolled in Assistance/Basic/Enhanced will remain in the same plan
- There will be a new Premier Plan added with increased benefits.

- Calendar year contribution limit changes effective July 1, 2023.
- FSA contribution limits will increase to $3050.00
- HSA contribution limit for individual will increase to $3850.00
- HSA contribution limit for family has increased to $7750.00
- Mountaineer Flex Enrollment Forms – All enrollment forms must now be completed using all capital letters. Employees may now also enroll via MYFBMC.COM website
- Dental plan vendor is changing from Delta to SunLife
