Curriculum

Honors credit hours may be earned through courses identified as honors sections of regular university courses, honors seminars, honors options in existing non-honors courses, a Senior Honors Research project, and a study abroad experience.  Honors students are expected to take 26 credit hours in order, including three at the 300 level or above in order to earn the Honors designation on their diploma.  Incoming freshmen are required to take the Honors College First Year Honors Seminar.  All Honors students are required to complete a Senior Honors Research Project, an in-depth research project in a specific area of study in order to practice key research techniques and present research outcomes in a scholarly manner.  Honors students will also take part in a Study Abroad experience.
