Internships, clinics, hands-on requirements

There is a group of courses in the SPA curriculum provided for students to take as                    
part of their curriculum.  Three courses are concerned with clinical observations
of speech and hearing within a school setting or health care setting.  Several clinical
and school environments are provided for the student to observe.

Two courses are provided to the student that allows the student to obtain specific therapy contact hours under direct supervision within a hospital and school setting.  Thirty hours of therapy contact will be provided with a variety of cases in the health care or school environments.  Certified and licensed speech pathologists and audiologist will provide supervision.
