Community Service

The West Liberty Sarah Whitaker Glass School of Dental Hygiene actively reaches out to the needs of the community. In May of both 2010 and 2011, West Liberty Dental Hygiene faculty member Mrs. Michele Sweeney, RDH, MSDH, and clinical instructor Mrs. Jennifer Blaskovitch, RDH, MSDH, accompanied dental hygiene students to Redbird Mission, Kentucky for one week. There they performed dental hygiene services for the local indigent population as well as other types of service such as painting, placing drywall, visiting schools to present dental health lessons, etc. (Photos courtesy of Mrs. Michele Sweeney.)
