The academic and administrative leadership of West Liberty University is responsible for providing the appropriate leadership for the strategic positioning process and shall be accountable for its success subject to the following leadership guidelines:
Broad-Based Inclusive Participation
The process shall provide opportunities for extensive participation, inclusion and consultation with both on-campus and off-campus stakeholders.
Respect for Existing Governance
The process shall be designed and conducted in a manner that respects the delegated responsibilities and accountabilities of existing administrative and governance structures.
The process shall include effective and extensive communications with all interested stakeholders including the establishment of an easily accessible website and the use of social media.
The process shall seek dialogue and consensus that is facilitated by the objective analysis of relevant information and data that is valid, timely and reliable.
The process shall address high priority issues and must produce “planning and positioning products” that possess strategic value and utility.
