DEPARTMENT SECURES BROADCASTING GRANT

Jeffrey Pfister, instructor and director of WGLZ radio, recently announced that the department of journalism and communication studies secured a $2,500 grant from the West Virginia Broadcasters Educational Foundation (WVBEF). USA TODAY Charitable Foundation awards department

USA TODAY awarded the journalism and communication studies department with 30 licenses for the electronic edition to their national newspaper. The grant allows students in media and journalism classes full access to the electronic edition, which is an exact replica of their daily print edition, through computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablet devices.
