AIGA Field Trip to Commonwealth Press

The 8th biennial West Virginia Arts and Craft Guild ‘s Exhibition opened at the Wheeling Artisan Center. Faculty members, Nancy Tirone, Robert Villamagna and Brian Fencl are participating in the juried exhibition. Rock, Paper, Scissors opens at  5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Nutting Art Gallery on January 19th, 2011. Sculpture II students join the parade

Students in Professor Bob Villamagna’s Sculpture II class created and marched a large elephant puppet in the 2010 Wheeling “Fantasy In Lights Parade.” The design of the puppet was inspired by Salvador Dali’s surrealist masterpiece “Les Elephants.” The project was designed, built and marched through the streets of Wheeling by WLU students under the direction of Professor’s Robert Villamagna...

AIGA Field Trip to Toonseum in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH – West Liberty’s AIGA student group recently took a field trip to downtown Pittsburgh to visit Toonseum, SPACE Gallery, Wood Street Galleries, and the Contemporary Craft Society. Toonseum is one of three museums of cartooning in the United States.
