WLU at Oglebayfest 2010

West Liberty University will be represented at the 2010 Oglebayfest by faculty and students. The Visual Art program is providing exhibitor space for our ceramics students and faculty members will be exhibiting and adjudicating several competitions. Oglebayfest is the biggest festival in the greater Wheeling area attracting over 50,000 people to the park. The new College of Arts and Communication

As of July 1st 2010 the Division of Art will now be part of the new College of Arts and Communication at West Liberty University. WLU’s partnership with Oglebay Institute leads to a new course offering

West Liberty is teaming up with Oglebay Institute to offer courses in glassblowing. Starting with the Fall 2010 semester WLU art students will be able to take 8-week classes in introductory glassblowing with an Advanced Glassblowing class following in the spring. The 3 credit class is an opportunity for students to work in an outstanding facility with trained craftsman and expand their art making experiences. For more information...
