Sister Theresa McNally passed away on July 8, 2014, the day before her 83rd birthday. Sister Theresa was a 1972 alumnus of West Liberty State College graduating with a degree in registered nursing. She was a member of Our Lady of Charity in Wheeling, WV and a registered nurse at Good Shepard Nursing Home until her retirement from ministry in 2007.
Dr. Katherine J. Leisering, B.A., 1972, won two writing awards, one for poetry in the 2014 Writers-Editors Network International Writing Competition, and another for humor in the 2014 WV Writers, Inc. Annual Writing Competition.
Christine Moroudas, 62, of Weirton, West Virginia passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was known to family and friends by Chris and was born Aug. 17, 1950. Chris was a graduate of West Liberty State College in 1972. After graduation she taught for 33 years at many elementary schools. When Chris retired she obtained jobs at the Millstop Community Center in Weirton, the racetrack in Chester, and Fabian Formals in Steubenville, all to meet her desire to socialize. She is suvived by her brother Tom Stamati and longtime friend Jane Carbasho, as well as Chris’ cat, Gus.
Carolissa Wylie Woodruff has retired from Marshall County (W.Va.) Schools as of July 1, 2010. She and her husband reside in Glen Dale, W.Va.
